MOISTURISING BALM

TALLOW FACE CREAM

Our Tallow balm is for whole body and face.

Each combination is a unique scent:

  • Venus
  • Jupiter
  • Mars

In our tallow balm is made up of mostly tallow, with only two other ingredients added, that being essential oils for fragrance and skin benefits and olive oil with castor oil blend to help soften the cream as tallow hardens in winter, olive with castor oil also has benefits for the skin .

LARGE BODY BUTTER

The main difference between the Body Balm and the Tallow Balm is the adding of extra castor oil to the Body Balm and slightly less essential oils ratio.

Ingredients are Tallow, Olive Oil, Castor oil and Essential oils.

Our Tallow soap is made using the cold method, we hand-cut our soaps to 100g.

We only use ingredients that are edible to colour the soap, think activated charcoal, cocoa, cinnamon and spices.

Why Cypress Hill Tallow Soaps & Balms...

  • Tallow soap has been documented in use since Sumerian times in 3000 BC. This is an ancient method of skin healing and moisturising that has now been revived.

  • Our tallow soap is a pure soap consisting of only saponified beef fat or tallow to create a "boer" soap using the cold method of soap making. Cypress Hill Tallow soap is only coloured using edible ingredients like activated charcoal, cinnamon, kaolin clay, coffee and cocoa. 

  • Saponified tallow produces a high percentage of oleic acid and is a well-known skin conditioner. Oleic acid is a non-essential fatty acid that is found in human sebum. Oleic acid has a wide range of positive effects on the skin including acting as emollient and moisturizer. Oleic acid aids skin regeneration and helps reduce inflammation.

  • Compared to oil soaps, which need to be substantially processed (grown in monocultures, harvested, pressed, filtered, bottled and transported to you from faraway places), requiring energy inputs, our beef tallow soap was created in the garden route from start to finish with a low carbon footprint.

  • The tallow balms has seen great response from clients using it for anti-aging, sunburn, healing and even for sensitive skin conditions and to assist with eczema, psoriasis & shingles.

  • Umuthi Botanical is our local essential oil producer and is our source of essential oils for our creams. Their high quality essential oils are a key ingredient in our Tallow creams.

Lovely, creamy and nourishing. They warn about the cinnamon oil which could give a warming feeling, but it is very mild and does not irritate my super sensitive skin. Another great body product!

Animal aid soap

I used this soap when I rescued a puppy full of ticks and fleas. I did not have animal wash so I used this natural soap for its bath. It worked so well and gental on the puppies hurt skin.
